We are focusedon service delivery with measurable outcomes for refugees whoinclude families andchildren.
The CommunitySupport Casework Service is an integral part of the CommunitiesDirectorate working collaboratively with Social Care and Educationand Skills so that all refugees are accessing the right helpcoordinated support and protection from the County Council and ourpartners.
At every levelsupport is designed to address and reduce any problems orchallenges and prevent them getting worse. Key to this is beingable to build productive partnerships with internal and externalpartners and the voluntary and communitysector.
This is a newteam and the work is still evolving; it is anticipated it willcontinue to develop overtime.
KeyDuties/Accountabilities:
CommunitySupport Casework ensures that refugees receive accessible andcoordinated support when they needit.
This supportranges from early identification and preventative approachesthrough to more targeted help where individuals are experiencingmore complex or multiple difficulties that may result fromsponsorship breakdowns and/or trauma anddisplacement.
The supportwill address challenges whilst enabling refugees to manage theirown lives in a newcountry.
As a TeamManager you will be expected to lead supervise and provideoversight of a localitybased team that provides direct interventionto refugees through targeted support and partnership working withdedicated schools or health teams for example with the provision ofEnglish Language learning that will help with pathways toindependence.
You will play akey role in the Communities leadership team in bringing yourknowledge and expertise into the development ofservices.
You will beresponsible for ensuring policies and practice are adhered tothrough a number of quality assuranceprocesses.
You will workalongside peers across the directorate to work collaboratively toensure the needs of refugees aremet.
EssentialExperienceRequired:
You will havepassion for working with migrants along with the ability to workunder pressure and to tight deadlines whilst managingdemand. You will be able to focus forlengthy periods over a range of different activities in order todetermine how to meet the future needs of refugees developprocedures and analyse information /statistics.
You will becommitted to raising standards in practice that will directly leadto better outcomes for refugees. You willbe inspired by the opportunity to work in an environment focused oncontinual improvement working closely and collaboratively withcolleagues to secure the best possible outcomes for refugees comingto the UK. You will have experience ofbeing placed under significant emotional demand by the stories ofthe people you workwith.
There is aregular and intrinsic requirement to communicate in English withmembers of the public.

Workingarrangements Hybrid One day in Chichester office and One day inCrawleyoffice.
