Role: IT Technician
Location: Bolton College, Deane Road Campus
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch
Term: Temporary to 6th December (potential to extend for a further week)
Pay: £13.45 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Start: 25th November 2024

Position Overview:
Bolton College is going through an exciting new build project currently and we’re looking for an IT Technician to support with setting up the equipment. The new building will be dedicated to Engineering and Digital courses and we’re planning to open in the near future. We need an IT Technician to assist with boxing and unboxing equipment, lifting and shifting, and cabling computer equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lift and shift PCs etc into the rooms
- Unbox and assemble them on desk. Tidy rooms after unboxing
- Network cabling PCs
- Reimage PCs to ensure they load the correct College image
- Basic testing of PCs including ad hoc workload stress testing
Key Requirements
- Able to lift boxes of equipment safely.
- Basic computer setup and cabling knowledge.
