Electrical Craftsperson

Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, appropriately skilled, reliable and enthusiastic electrical maintenance craftsperson that is able to work well under pressure to carry out planned maintenance and day to day repairs within a hospital environment.

The post is working days with a requirement to work shifts when the needs of the Health Board require.

Main duties of the job

To install or construct various works on new and existing installations and carry out the relevant tests IEE regulation tests. To maintain and repair existing electrical installations switch gear, motors, lighting, power circuits, etc. to maintain and repair safety and warning systems emergency lighting and the correct charging of batteries.

To maintain, operate and repair electrical equipment and plant and services. To adhere to safety and statutory procedures and planned preventative maintenance schemes to ensure statutory compliance.

To carry out and record electrical testing procedures in accordance with the current IEE Wiring Regulations (17th Edition).

To install metal and plastic conduit and trunking systems. To install all wiring systems mineral insulated copper clad, FP2000, twin and earth, SWA etc, including all switch, control and protective equipment, luminaires and fittings.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
