Location: Corby

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Catering & Hospitality Lecturer to join The Bedford College Group at The Manor House, Corby.
As a Catering & Hospitality Lecturer, under the direction of the Centre Manager (Hospitality), you will be required to carry out the duties and responsibilities with the role in an efficient and effective manner, including:
Assisting with curriculum design and development. Assisting with the production of learning resources. Planning, delivering and assessing sessions in catering and hospitality. Ensuring that delivery of instruction remains up-to-date. Being responsible for the supervision of learners in the kitchens and restaurant including commercial restaurant sessions taking place in the Manor House Restaurant. Monitoring the progress of learners and carrying out competence-based assessment and/or assessment to standard formats. Monitoring and report learners’ progress. Carrying out first-line supervision and discipline of learners.About you:
Ideal candidates will have:
Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a Catering or Hospitality discipline Good level of education to include maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent (level 2) Good practical experience of recent industrial/commercial employment Demonstrable knowledge of Equality and Diversity Experience and skills of training and demonstrating Good organisational skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Able to work evenings as required to support in commercial restaurant sessions Hold a driving licenceInterviews to be held on 13th September 2024
