Put your best foot forward into the role of  Assistant Designer - Accessories and Footwear

Lace be honest, accessories and shoes are the best storytellers, they’ve been to many places and seen many faces but finding the right fit is no easy feet As an Assistant Designer for Accessories and Footwear at Joules, you will be responsible for supporting the creation and development of shoe-perior, seasonal accessories and footwear ranges that place Joules as the very Best in Show

'This is a great opportunity for someone with a real interest in Accessories or Footwear. The department is really varied, making it a truly exciting area to work on. The successful candidate will form an integral part of the team, working closely with our Commercial counterparts as well as other design teams across the business. You will also work closely with our print team, making sure our accessories are the cherry on top of the clothing range You will get to experience the entire design process, from initial research stages through to product launch. With an ever evolving range, you couldn't be joining the Joules family at a more exciting time' 

What to expect from a day to day perspective:

Responsible for supporting the creation and development of seasonal design ranges across accessories and footwear, balancing creative and commercial needs to deliver against the Concept brief. From footwear to scarves, from bags to hair accessories, from hats to socks you can expect varied and exciting projects to work on within a Department that has full support and enthusiasm from Management in terms of the bigger picture - there’s big plans ahead Implement the seasonal Design Direction set out by the CBO, Design Director, and the Concept Team to drive the strategic objectives daily through the Design Team.  Design accessories and footwear in a broad variety of styles that creatively respond to a brief, embracing a commercial eye and a think outside of the box approach.  Each day must follow a customer led approach supported by store visits, competitive shops and inspirational shopping.  A varied and fast paced role with exciting opportunities for growth Our Management team are really excited about this area of the business of which they have exciting plans for

The ideal candidate:
 

To really shine within the role of Assistant Designer - Accessories and Footwear you must be a ‘think outside of the box’ creative able to demonstrate a flair for adaptable, collaborative working However, what we value most here at Joules is your ability to really align with who we are as a family. From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have:


You must be Illustrator proficient with a Fashion Design Degree or equivalent.

You should have an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic nature with the ability to adapt and work collaboratively with our close knit team. A genuine excitement about the brand is a must (although we don’t think this is too difficult). You must be confident in your ability to easily switch between different products as the workload is varied and at times fast paced.  Able to work cross-functionally and build strong rapport and relationships across the wider teams. Understanding of commercial acumen, our customer and market positioning. Excellent trend prediction and can translate into contemporary relevance for the Joules brand.

Location:

This is a full time role based at our Market Harborough Head Office in Leicestershire and you will need to be able to be present in the office 5 days per week.
