Job summary
The Trust Lead for domestic abuse is responsible for supporting the Head of Safeguarding in ensuring the needs of children and vulnerable adults are effectively safeguarded with particular reference to domestic abuse whilst working in a mental health Trust. Working in collaboration within a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary arena, continue the development of systems and processes to support AWP's response to patients and service users experiencing domestic abuse.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the co-ordination of the safeguarding response to Domestic Abuse responsibilities within AWP, leading on day to day operational management, co-ordination, representation, and assurance.
Supporting delivery of comprehensive and robust arrangements for safeguarding and domestic Abuse that are compliant with regulatory and legal frameworks.
Provide support and advice to clinical colleagues in the clinical assessment, care and management of children, young people and adults where there are domestic Abuse concerns, whilst being clear about others personal clinical professional accountability.
Specialist adviser and support for named professionals, HR colleagues, local police, social care and other statutory and voluntary agencies on domestic Abuse matters as required.
Supporting the Trust to maintain effective representation and participation in multiagency domestic abuse partnerships, networks and committees to support the assurance and delivery of safeguarding functions.

Health and Social Care Qualification Experience of managing domestic homicide reviews, DHRs, MARAC, coercive control and stalking and harassment Experience in facilitating training sessions Experience chairing multi-agency professionals meetings
