This role will require you to work a continental shift pattern which will include day shift and night shift.

About the role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role within our dedicated team by increasing line efficiencies through minimisation of unplanned line stoppages, maximising the effectiveness of planned maintenance and leading continuous improvement activities in your area at our Guinness packaging site at Marshalls Road, Belfast.

You’ll engage with all maintenance personnel to deliver and review effective immediate maintenance and performance turnarounds whilst maintaining operating equipment to maximise uptime and deliver solutions for ‘trending maintenance failures’ (downtime) using root cause problem solving.

You’ll continuously aim for next level of performance with a clear vision aligned with Diageo standards and manufacturing excellence.

Health and safety compliance is key, and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside ensuring both site and personal KPI’s are achieved.

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who has a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship and an Electrical HNC OR equivalent. Proven experience in a production environment and able to demonstrate understanding of asset performance and maintenance philosophy.

Key requirements and experience:

Variable frequency drives Servo drives and motors Electro-pneumatics 3 phase motors and control circuits Mechanical works including bearings, belts, pulleys

Desirable:

It would be beneficial but not essential to have experience working in a manufacturing/production environment. PLC experience 17th/18th Edition Electrical Wiring Asi bus, profi bus

Shifts

This role requires you to work a 42hr week, 24/7 cover consisting of x2 day shifts, x2 night shifts, on a rolling 4 on 4 off basis.
