Job description

Step teachers are working with a "Good" Ofsted-rated school that prides itself on offering a broad curriculum across all 3 Key Stages, providing students with a wide range of courses to allow them to discover which subjects they have a passion for. This school strives to deliver "well-disciplined students, with good character, who fulfil their academic potential". They're currently looking for a Geography Teacher to join their team immediately or in September 2024. The Geography Teacher will be supporting a class of well-behaved and enthusiastic Secondary level pupils aged 11 to 18. The Geography Teacher should be passionate and ready to engage with their students, contributing to the school's polite, friendly and safe educational atmosphere.

Geography Teacher - Role:

  • Able to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • The Geography Teacher should be able to work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school.
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Geography Teacher - Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have recent 2+ years' experience as a Secondary level Geography Teacher.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
