Job Description

Seeking a teaching assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a warm and welcoming primary school.
The ideal candidate would be a graduate with a backgroud in Criminology, Psychology, Child and Youth Studies, or related fields.

Job Duties:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Assist SEN students in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
  • Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in their learning and social development
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans for SEN students
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Degree in Criminology, Psychology, Graduates, or Child and Youth Studies
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Experience supporting students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of SEMH, SEN, and ASC
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position in a school environment
  • Regular working hours with potential for additional responsibilities
  • Opportunities for professional development and training
