About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic Year 3 class in Thetford. This temporary position, covering three days a week, is perfect for someone passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and on task.
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assist with marking and assessing student work under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Supervise students during breaks and other non-instructional times as needed.

Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is essential and can be referenced. 
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • An understanding of child development and educational practices.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.
