Job Description:
We have an exceptional opportunity to join the team as a Brewery Engineer in our Magic Rock Brewery based in Huddersfield. Responsible for supporting the site in achieving Brewery Scorecard targets by maximizing and optimizing machine uptime and utilization through the implementation of best practice reliability engineering techniques and effective maintenance systems. Additionally, this role extends support to the wider company network, ensuring the application of these practices across multiple locations to drive overall operational efficiency
Responsibilities include:
- Making
safety a priority and engaging in a safety-first culture - Adhering
to Company's People Processes - Implementation
and execution of Asset Care across the site and support for Tap room Network - Compliance
with Engineering standards - Implementation of Value Creation
initiatives
for engineering department - Provide
best practice support and maintenance excellence service across manufacturing - Support
site in achieving brewery scorecard
targets e.g. OEE,
extract waste and utilities by maximising / optimising machine
uptime and utilisation with best
practise maintenance costs - Compliance
with regulations / Implementation of safe engineering work practices e.g. IGC
way for permits - Adheres to site process safety
requirements and compliance - Maintain effective facilities and
stores - Maintain reliable supply of
utilities - Operate and manage within the
engineering annual budget - Complies with site environmental
strategy - Own
and manage electrical maintenance schedule and ensure UK sitewide compliance - Deliver
electrical installations - CAPEX
budget tracking and management - Delivering
CAPEX, continuous improvement & BAU projects to LW4PM in collaboration with
the Engineering Manager - Contractor
management to IGC standards - Managing
autonomous maintenance schedule and tracking via brew and pack teams - Engaging
production staff with education toward self-sufficiency and autonomous
maintenance through training, handovers and CILTs

The ideal candidate has the following skills, knowledge and experience:
Skills
- Excellent personal interaction
skills - Advanced computer literacy
particularly in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to switch gears quickly,
and prioritize many high priority tasks at once - Excels at organizing and managing
multiple tasks at the same time - Willingness to meet the growing
demands - B.S. in Electrical or Process
Engineering; would consider Mechanical, Chemical or other Engineering degrees
is required - Strong communication,
interpersonal skills, and ability to express oneself in both written and verbal communication
Knowledge
- Ability to review, understand, and
audit P&IDs for beer production best practices - Formal
brewing education preferred; knowledge of brewery processes and terminology is
essential - A
high competence and background in electrical systems such as controls,
automation, VFDs, PLCs - Proficient
in computer software such as MS Office suite and AutoCAD - Packaging knowledge
- Experience working in a brewery or FMCG
- IBD Diploma 1 (or working toward) /
equivalent qualification - Mechanical or maintenance knowledge
- Previous
brewing industry experience - Supervisory
experience an advantage - Forklift
licence preferred - First
aid qualification
