As a a Senior Project Support Officer you will join the P3M function supporting Roke’s National Security Business Unit. As part of the PMO team, you will be an integral part of driving the balance between the needs of the customer and delivering strong financial and delivery performance for the Business Unit.
You will achieve this by simplifying and standardising business processes; improving the accuracy and predictability of forecasts; increasing the responsiveness of operations to an ever-changing commercial landscape; and applying the relevant controls to ensure consistently successful delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities…

Deliver defined PMO services to enable the Business Unit including (but not limited to) Delivery Management support, tracking/monitoring of cross-project dependencies, Bid Management support, policy and process conformance Co-ordinating the production of reports to support governance, by collating, analysing, evaluating, and manipulating data, records, and other information. Maintain libraries, registers, and systems Providing education, training and first line support on the agreed P3M procedures, processes, and tools Supporting senior management in championing and embedding P3M practices across the organisation Undertaking the role of owner for one or more P3M services for the organisation  Lead on the development and socialisation of the PMO service catalogue for the Business Unit Support the wider team in a mentoring capacity Undertake such other reasonable duties, commensurate with the job holder’s experience and qualifications, as may be required for the smooth operation of the business 


The Key Requirements...

Experience driving the development of PMO processes through requirement definition, solution development, process documentation, rollout and benefits realisation Able to demonstrate a proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Experience working within a busy PMO or Project Delivery environment Experience mentoring other team members Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform applications to support PMO service enhancement  Preferably an appropriate P3M qualification (P3O, APM, MoP, MSP, Prince2 etc.).

There are opportunities to be based either our Romsey, Woking or Gloucester sites;

Romsey: Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.

Woking: Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Woking site in a modern building on the outskirts of London. Rated excellent for sustainability by BREEAM & Fitwel certified – you’ll feel better for visiting. This site provides key links to our customers in London, is a 5 minute walk from the train station, has secure parking nearby and dedicated cycle storage.

Gloucester: Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Gloucester site in a business park two minutes from junction 11A of the M5; The site allows easy access to our local customer base. Set on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, you are never far from a picturesque view or lunch time walk.

Clearances…

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the for the last 5 years.
