Location: Regional - Home Based

Purpose of the role

To support the delivery of a wide variety of Yorkshire Water projects within a multidisciplinary team covering a range of activities on Yorkshire Water (YW) sites related to instrumentation, telemetry and treatment processes. Includes manging sub-contractors on behalf of YW.

Key Accountabilities

Field based role, working on YW sites undertaking site surveys and managing sub-contractors. Ensure that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and completed in accordance with agreed timescales and scope. Ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the YW’s procedures and standards. Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues. Work in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required. Creation and review of risk assessments and method statements. Ensure all work carried out adheres to YW’s Health & Safety procedures.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential

Instrumentation, Telemetry and LV knowledge Commissioning and fault-finding on site processes Good electrical background, understanding of 18th Edition Regs. Able to plan work, work well in a team or alone Water Industry knowledge Computer literate and able to use various MS office applications Health & Safety understanding and application YW electrically authorised or able to obtain in a short time

Desirable

Awareness of CDM Regulations 2015 CompEx aware – desirable Confined Space trained - desirable First Aid trained - desirable Working at Heights trained- desirable

Professional Membership and Qualifications:

Minimum HNC in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations IET membership - preferred
