The role

You will assist the Arborist Supervisor carrying out all types of arboriculture services; in the preparation and updating of tree inventories; and with emergency tree works as required. You will also ensure that vehicles and plants are used, maintained, and secured in accordance with operational guidelines and that defects, damage or thefts are reported and investigated.

You will undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post including physical work and you will participate in self-improvement in performance through workplace development. You must also work flexibly in line with Service needs.

We require someone who will help us to achieve our aim of becoming the 'contractor of choice' by providing excellent service to our customers and working closely with our partners.

Please note, a full UK driving licence is essential.

The right fit

  • You must have these qualifications NPTC Units: o CS30 – Maintenance o CS31 – Tree Felling o CS38 – Climb trees and perform aerial rescues o CS39 – Aerial chainsaw use Climbing skills.  
  • We are looking for a fully qualified operative.
  • Ability to work confidently at heights for long periods.  
  • Ability to work within Health and Safety at Work guidelines e.g., Chapter 8, Services avoidance.  
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.  
  • Ability to carry out routine machinery maintenance e.g., chain saw etc.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake training and development activities as required.  
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
