Overview:

As Bizagi’s Cloud Platform Director, your mission is to ensure the performance and reliability of our PaaS offering for our customers worldwide. This includes responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations including system set up and administration, deployment and upgrades, security management and monitoring, capacity planning, availability management and disaster recovery. You will also lead the development and deployment of best practices to manage cloud operations, assist in architecture development and cloud-based applications using Azure’s Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers have a smooth and efficient experience with our PaaS solutions. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development. You are highly resourceful, analytical, have a combination of focus, flexibility, self-motivation, integrity, willingness to put the team and company’s interest above all else. You will lead, guide and mentor a team of Engineers.
 

There is the potential for this role to also take on the management of Bizagi’s Global customer support organisation in the future.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Serve as a team leader by enabling teams to generate a vision, establish direction, create an atmosphere of trust, and leverage diverse views, while working collaboratively as a member of a team and executing independentlyCollaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.Working closely with Bizagi strategy teams to shape the Azure based Cloud Native strategy and transformation for our customers to adopt new operating models and transform their business to a platform based approach

Solution Architecture:

Architect and design scalable, reliable, and secure PaaS solutions.Evaluate business requirements and recommend appropriate Azure services to meet those needs.Ensure compliance with Azure security standards and industry best practices.Apply DevOps strategies, designs, implementations, and tools/capabilities/functionalities

Technical Expertise:

Deep understanding of Azure PaaS services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and more.Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices and efficient utilization of Azure resources.Drive towards new Cloud Native ways of working such as Site Reliability Engineering, GitOps, Modern Engineering, and Modern TestingDesign, develop and maintain cloud computing infrastructure and platforms by following established processes and proceduresDesign and optimize product testing and deployment procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PaaS deployments.Set up, configure and maintain organizational networks and system infrastructure; generate system improvements based on business needsDevelop security related policies and guidelines; applying and monitoring the implementation of a security infrastructureParticipate in all phases of the cloud integration engineering life cycle; troubleshoot technical problems as they arise

Customer Experience:

Provide 24x7 operations for all of Bizagi’s Cloud Services.Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand customer needs and pain points.Ensure our PaaS solutions meet customer expectations in terms of performance, reliability, and scalability.Continuously improve the customer experience by monitoring and optimizing PaaS solutions.

Team Management:

Lead a team of Azure specialists, architects, and engineers.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Mentor team members and provide career development opportunities.Prioritizes and facilitates a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and systems thinkingSets the tone for successful collaboration with other business units and corporate entities

Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with Azure service providers and vendors.Stay informed about Azure updates, new features, and best practices.

Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).Proven experience in cloud computing-based services architecture, technical design, and implementations, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS), Platform-as-a-Service (PAAS), and Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) delivery modelsAzure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).Extensive experience in technical engineering, architecture, and/or development rolesExtensive experience working in a large IT environment in support of IT service and business processes, with proven track record of driving large-scale changesProven track record of leading large teams delivering full stack platform support across data centers and private and public cloudContainerization and orchestration, Microservices architectureDemonstrated leadership capabilities with a minimum of 3 years leading and developing a globally distributed team.Deep understanding of infrastructure automation, instrumentation and full stack technologiesExtensive knowledge of DevOps techniques and strategies for both application and infrastructure builds and releasesExpertise in cloud engineering and operations, Disaster recovery and business continuity planning•Thought-leader level knowledge in leading large-scale initiatives emphasizing the strategy, design, and development of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud platforms that extend to private and public cloud deployment models with resiliency, risk and control governance and metrics, incident management, secure systems development lifecycle, vulnerability management, and data protectionExpert experience with cloud management platforms, virtualization strategies, automation and orchestration strategies, public cloud platforms, cloud capacity/performance optimization, and application migrations to a cloud platform with a clear understanding of how an IT organization capitalizes upon technology to enable the businessExperience leading transformational projects related to IT architecture, engineering, operations, security, and digital adoptionExperience leading client-facing business development at a C-suite level, engagement delivery, practice development, and thought leadershipCommunicates effectively, anticipates changing business needs, adjusts priorities accordingly, and allocates necessary resources and budget to achieve objectivesConsiders stakeholder needs and input as well as best practices and insights from industry trends when making strategic decisionsStrong strategic vision and a track record of successful delivery of business objectivesKnowledge of running a global customer support organisation preferableSpanish an advantage
