Job Title: Student Advisor - Bursary and Transport

Location: Stamford, Lincs

Hours: 25 hours per week, ongoing basis

Salary: £12.13 per hour, plus holiday pay

Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey? Do you thrive in a dynamic administrative environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Advisor to join our team in the Bursary and Transport Department at a Further Education (FE) College in Stamford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support within the Bursary and Transport Department.
  • Assist students with inquiries related to bursaries, scholarships, and transportation options.
  • Offer guidance and advice to students regarding financial support available, including application processes and eligibility criteria.
  • Process and maintain accurate records of bursary applications, payments, and transportation requests.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure seamless coordination of student support services.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, both in-person and via electronic communication channels, addressing student queries promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Empathy and understanding towards the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a similar student advisory role, though not essential.
