Hours: 35 hours Monday to Friday

Location: Belfast

Key Accountabilities:

Accounts Receivable

Manage the company’s debtor accounts and ensure debt is collected from customers within the agreed terms

Take the lead role in promptly resolving customer queries on outstanding invoices and liaise with relevant functions for assistance when required

Prepare and process reminders, in accordance with established procedures, to expedite payments.

Provide information on credit, rebates and claims resolution.

Gather credit and/or reference information. Prepare notices and reminders

Review and update credit limits and terms on a regular and ongoing basis

Reconcile payments and accounts with clients

Monitor the progress of the collection procedure in order to make appropriate arrangements, i.e. provision of claims for collection or writing-off of receivables after approval

Escalate accounts that are not line with agreed credit terms, both to commercial and management teams

General Ledger

Process incoming payments, in accordance with internal procedures

Monitor and code incoming payments and journal entries of incoming payments.

Collect and file all relevant documents related to payments and invoices to have a traceable record of payments

Reporting

Provide regular reports and updates to various stake holders

Compile data and prepare standard and special reports, to ensure management receives appropriate information in an accurate and timely manner

Service

Provide a high standard of assistance and customer service to both internal and external customers

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure accounts are managed appropriately

Other duties

Perform other duties and projects as and when required in finance and administration

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

Essential:

Educated to GCSE level, English and Math

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel

A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience

Key Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Customer focused

Ability to follow procedures

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to use own initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

Self-motivated with a positive “can do” attitude
