This role will be reporting into the Engineering Manager – Powertrain Systems.

 

The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

 

As part of a high performing engineering team, this role will be focused on the calibration of the Forseven High Voltage System systems covering aspects of powertrain calibration, electrification calibration and thermal calibration over multiple programs delivering into multiple markets..

What you will do:

  • Deliver and develop core powertrain calibration - to include base drivability, electrification, charging, powertrain diagnostic and powertrain thermal calibrations - from standard powertrain calibration delivered by suppliers.
  • Analyse and define requirements relating to calibration based on customer specification. Engage with suppliers and internal software teams to ensure strategy can deliver calibration requirements. Work with these teams on problem resolution as appropriate
  • Plan and execute calibration and development activities on range of vehicles in conjunction with wider powertrain test and validation team. To include activities in the UK and worldwide climatic and development trips.
  • Produce high quality reporting and documentation to provide a suitable audit trail of the calibration exercises completed.

 Who you are:

  • Significant experience of powertrain calibration within an automotive engineering environment.
  • Experience of vehicle diagnostic calibration and analysis utilising toolsets such as ETAS INCA and Vector CANalyzer.
  • Demonstrable understanding of high voltage architectures and underlying principles and technologies including thermal management, high voltage safety and control strategies.
  • Experience in analysing software strategy guides and documentation in order to complete calibration activities at the vehicle level.
  • Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree.  Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered. High Voltage training to Senior Authorised Person or IMI Level 4 preferred.
