Primary job duties/responsibilities:
We arelooking for a detailoriented IT Support Specialist with a focus onlaptop refresh projects. The ideal candidate will be responsiblefor imaging new laptops scheduling and communicating refresh planswith endusers updating the CMDB supporting data transfer anddisposing of assets according to company policies. The candidateshould be efficient able to refresh 1015 laptops per day and ensurea smooth transition for endusers. KeyResponsibilities: Image New Laptops (Windows & MAC):
  • Prepare and image new laptops usingstandardized imaging processes.
  • Ensure allnecessary software and configurations are correctly installed andfunctioning.
  • Perform quality assurance checksto confirm that the laptops meet company standards beforedeployment.
Schedule &Communicate Refresh Schedule with End Users:
  • Coordinate with endusers to schedule laptop refreshappointments.
  • Communicate the refresh processtimeline and expectations clearly to endusers.
  • Address any concerns or questions from endusers promptlyand professionally.
Update CMDB(Configuration Management Database):
  • Accurately update the CMDB with new hardwareinformation.
  • Ensure that all asset detailsincluding serial numbers and user assignments are current andcorrect.
  • Maintain detailed records of allchanges for auditing and tracking purposes.
Replace Laptops and Support Data Transfer:
  • Assist endusers with backing up andtransferring data from old laptops to new ones.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality during thetransfer process.
  • Provide postrefresh supportto resolve any issues related to the new laptops.
Dispose of CompanyOwned Assets:
  • Follow established procedures for the disposalof old laptops and other IT assets.
  • Ensurethat all data is securely wiped from devices beforedisposal.
  • Manage asset disposal in compliancewith company policies and environmental regulations.
Efficiency in Laptop Refresh:
  • Maintain a high level of efficiency refreshing1015 laptops per day.
  • Continuously look forways to streamline the refresh process and improveefficiency.
  • Ensure minimal downtime anddisruption for endusers during the refresh process.
