Director of Diagnostic Labs

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven candidate in our Diagnostic Laboratories team.

About the role:

As Director of Diagnostic Laboratories you will provide strategic leadership to your team, whilst identifying, developing and implementing opportunities and strategies to achieve organisational goals. You will oversee the financial budget of the department and be responsible for resource allocation to ensure the successful operational activities and promotion of Diagnostic Laboratories , whilst fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and career long learning.

About the team:

Our Diagnostic Laboratories team is made up of:
- Diagnostic Laboratories
- Molecular Diagnostics Unit
- Clinical Pathology service

The team of 26 staff providing an extensive, high-quality range of laboratory tests across many species, including state of the art feline genetic testing.

You will need:

Leadership and management skills and experience Experience of working in a commercial laboratory Excellent communication and organisational skills Experience of managing financial processes To be a highly motivated individual, able to work on your own initiative Excellent problem solving and skills To be flexible and forward thinking To be a qualified veterinary surgeon or science graduate
