Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a secondary academy with a values-driven, family ethos. Our client academy seeks to appoint an ambitious and dynamic Teacher of RE, with the drive, determination and skills to nurture and develop the potential of their increasingly aspirational pupils. As a quality provider of 11-16 education for the immediate community of Daventry the school understands and embraces their responsibility to deliver the very best standard of education possible.

The school mission is to ‘develop good people’ through great education. Senior leaders want our pupils to grow into well-rounded, knowledgeable young people, determined to make the most of themselves, and to bring out the best in others.

Their vision is the ‘best in everyone’ and are aiming to develop a school community who aspire to be the very best version of themselves by adhering to core values of respect, kindness and hard work.

The RE Department is diligent and innovative and offers you:

  • A diverse and fully sequenced curriculum, support from trust-wide subject advisors, whilst also building on local cultural capital and understanding the immediate area
  • Curriculum is supported by a wealth of enrichment activities and trips
  • An experienced team, which can help develop newer members of the profession and enhance those who have more experience.
  • Whole class feedback and green pen marking used for students to enhance their progress and is designed to reduce teacher workload.
  • Knowledge organisers are used to support homework to reduce workload and help students to build knowledge.

The school has recently joined a large and highly successful multi-academy trust; bringing a wealth of benefits that are already impacting upon the school, staff, and most importantly, the pupils.

As a group, staff reward and recognition has increased: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. The school invest heavily in staff wellbeing. Academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. They are working hard to become a more diverse organisation – which is key to their commitment to bringing out the best in everyone.

Furthermore, one of the many benefits includes the breadth and depth of resources and support available. With a shared curriculum, subject advisors, a national pool of peers, coaching, mentoring and individual CPD plans, your teaching career will develop and grow as much as you want it to.
