Research Fellow in Chemical Data Science

ABOUT THE ROLE Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support the Principal Investigator in delivery of research activity in data science and simulation of sustainable materials and manufacturing for the chemical sector (including the creation of exemplar data sets and annotated documentation to enable them to be used for CPD for persons entering this sector).Where applicable, you will identify funding opportunities and develop appropriate applications to secure funding for personal and joint research.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will disseminate the results of research and scholarly activity through publications, development of learning materials based on data science and simulation, presentations at conferences or exhibiting work at appropriate events and via online media. As a senior researcher within the team you will provide expertise in chemistry in support of the team as a whole, and support wider research group activities.
This role is fixed term for 9 months.
