Role Responsibility
1. To ensure that the Company and statutory regulations regarding hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are complied with and all tasks undertaken are according to Safeguard regulations
2. To ensure that all food labelling is compliant with Food Safety Laws and to follow all allergen protocols and ensure that all goods are correctly stored and comply with Health & Safety legislation
3. To ensure the prompt service of all meals and services at the required times, to the company’s standard and client expectation in conjunction with the Senior Chefs
4. To ensure that methods of preparation and presentation comply with current trends and are within budgetary restraints
5. To assist in the preparation of menus, relating to your work environment and the company standard
6. Develop a positive employee relations environment with all team members
7. To maintain records and carry out all necessary temperature checks in accordance with Sodexo company policy Delivery temperature checks, fridge temperature, cooking temperature, hot holding temperature etc, and ensuring all documentation is correctly filed on a weekly basis
8. To receive any necessary training, meetings and briefings to complete your job responsibilities to the Company and Client standards
9. To complete a full and thorough monthly stock check in time for each month end check and rotate stock in accordance with company policy to ensure the efficiency of the unit is maintained
10. To ensure all stock is ordered to par level and that the best practise is followed to ensure COS is not exceeded with monthly price checks reviewed to maintain unit COS
11. To carry out any reasonable request by management pertaining to the service to the client and company
12. To ensure you are trained to use all kitchen and transportation equipment and that it is in good working order, any faults are reported following the correct company procedure
13. To ensure all food is transported according to company policy and following all Food Safety Laws
14. To ensure that you are compliant with COSHH at all times
15. To maintain a high level of personal presentation following all company uniform standards at all times including hate, aprons, whites, PPE etc
The Ideal Candidate1. At least 2 years experience within 4/5 star hotel restaurant & banqueting operations.
2. Previous experience at Chef de Partie/Commis Chef level
3. Management experience
4. Excellent culinary skills
5. Hold valid ‘Intermediate Food Hygeine’ certificate
6. Excellent spoken and written English
7. Strong problem solving and organizational skills
8. Strong leadership skills
9. Basic IT skills with knowledge of word and excel
standards of personal presentation
11. Able to work weekends and bank holidays
Package DescriptionThis position is working 16 hours per week (Saturdays & Sundays) between the months of April - September.
