The Offer 

As a Deputy Manager with Enham Trust (Michael House), you will fully support the Senior Care Home Manager in the running of the care home and deputise in their absence. Providing effective management and supervision of a great team, you will lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure the service is well run. You will promote positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach. You will lead on the service delivery, keeping it under review and work with the Team Leaders for continuous improvement.

Responsible for monitoring and providing the highest standards of support to our service users, you will promote independence and choice. You will ensure the service is fully compliant regarding health and safety management, fulfilling statutory obligations and excellent overall service delivery.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract. Shift pattern is 9.00am to 5.00pm

About you 

You will need: 




  • Experience in managing a team of care staff in a residential setting 
  • Experience of Support planning, care programme approach and care management.
  • Experience of person-centred working
  • Health and Social Care Level 4 Diploma or equivalent
  • To pass our DBS check or be on the DBS update service


Even better if you have previous managerial experience of a care environment, having a knowledge of disabilities, issues relating to physical access and adaption will be advantageous in addition to having a commitment to and understanding of equal opportunities.
