Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Nurse / Clinical Practitioner who is passionate about delivering patient-centred care. You will be joining a practice that values teamwork, respect, and professionalism. You should be:

A fully qualified Nurse / Clinical Practitioner with a current professional registration. Experienced in a wide range of clinical areas. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of care. Strong in communication skills, with a collaborative approach to patient care and working with colleagues.

A good patient experience, teamwork in a happy working environment and the ability to manage workload is important to us.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

Assessment and diagnosis: Taking patient histories, conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, and diagnosing medical conditions. Treatment: Prescribing medications, developing care plans, and providing interventions to manage illnesses or injuries. Patient education: Offering advice on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes. Referral and collaboration: Referring patients to secondary care when necessary and collaborating with other healthcare providers for comprehensive care. Leadership and mentorship: Supporting junior staff and helping to lead clinical initiatives within the healthcare setting. Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Registered nurse or equivalent Relevant nursing / health degree Minor illness qualification

Desirable

Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent)

Experience

Essential

Significant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse / Clinical Practitioner, ideally in a primary care setting. Demonstrable experience in managing a wide range of medical conditions and patient care. Experience in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.

Desirable

Knowledge of local healthcare services and patient pathways.
