An excellent school in Barnet is looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to work with students who have SEMH needs and extremely challenging behaviours. If you have a passion for helping young people overcome personal and academic challenges, this role could be a perfect fit for you.

Prior experience working with children in roles like sports coaching, youth groups, or the care sector is valuable. However, experience supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviours would be a strong advantage.

The successful applicant will:

  • Remain calm and professional in difficult situations
  • Be creative and proactive in addressing behavioural and learning challenges
  • Care deeply about the academic and emotional growth of each pupil
  • Motivate and encourage students with a positive and empathetic approach
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to create positive changes
  • Show initiative when addressing students' unique communication and learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
