The Project Manager will be expected to lead the design and implementation phases of specialty improvement initiatives to support the delivery of the local and national objectives.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with Clinical and Operational teams to jointly design, test and embed change. The projects will range in size and scale and will be determined by the priorities of the organisation but will allow for a broad insight to the operations and governance of the division.

Working within the creative environment of public health the individual will help to facilitate important and innovative change set out to achieve the 'best care for everyone'. Main duties of the job

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join a team leading on a major transformation programme including a wide variety of local and national ambitions to improve services. The post holder will be responsible for delivering appropriate project documentation and delivering progress updates across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring milestones are met and risks mitigated and/or managed where possible. Therefore, the individual will need the ability to work under pressure and respond to short timescales.

They must be credible, flexible and innovative, with project and change management skills, ideally developed in healthcare or other fast-moving environments. The role will require good planning and organisational skills, specifically the development of clear and pragmatic plans for delivering complex projects related to public health.

The post holder should be able to demonstrate good communication skills and be pro-active and motivated to lead others whilst also working to varied senior managers and clinical leads, sometimes with competing priorities.
