Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team in Kensington & Chelsea. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-on-one or small group setting. Your primary focus will be on helping students develop their academic skills, social skills, and independence.

Job Duties:
  • Provide tailored academic support to students with SEN
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' education
  • Implement strategies to support students' social and emotional well-being
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Patience and empathy
Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience working as an SEN Tutor or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEN
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments
Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The work environment may include schools, community centres, or students' homes. The ability to travel to different locations within Kensington & Chelsea is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
