Job Advert - Division Information

We are pleased to invite applications to take up the role of an Addictions Counsellor at our busy and thriving hospital based in North London. Offering an intensive inpatient service as well as after-care outpatient services, you will join a lovely team of 4 other therapists to facilitate therapy groups, addictions assessments, as well as after-care based outpatient to patients struggling with varying forms of substance and poly-substance misuse. Our patients often have complex needs and present with dual-diagnoses.

Our team offers expert group supervision to you, as well as a robust CPD program and shared-learning seminars. Our program is diverse and although it is based on the classic addiction model following the 12-step and fellowship program, we regularly care-plan and are trauma-informed. We have various experts who are integral to the running of the program including Pia Mellody's model of developmental trauma, yoga therapists, a psychodynamic practitioner, as well as equine therapy. Our offering is robust and well-respected by our key consultants who also bring a wealth of experience to our clinical offering.

We invite applications from both accredited therapists as well as therapists who are close to achieving accredited status. Knowledge of the 12 step model is essential as is the ability to run groups and assess. You will need to attend ward rounds and work as a team. Safeguarding knowledge is also essential to this role.

We look forward to receiving your application
