Weare an independent local charity in the Heart of Kent (Aylesford), offering awide range of services to support local people and their loved ones, who areliving with a life-limiting or terminal illness.

As Head of Fundraising, youll beheading up an incredible team of 6 dedicated fundraising staff who, along withthe support of our volunteers, work tirelessly to support our Hospice. Theirdedication to, and care for, our supporters generates over £ millionannually, which is vital for funding our care.

Thisrole is a hands-on, doing role, responsible for the day-to-day running of thefundraising function at the Hospice. The fundraising portfolio is both variedand diverse and the Head of Fundraising will be in amongst the team, overseeingthe delivery and focusing on achieving and exceeding budget.

Main duties of the job

Ahands-on role responsible for growing the fundraising income needed forsuccess. Leading a team of fundraisers across different disciplines you willfind the winning balance in the portfolio for existing and new initiatives thathelp the charity reach income targets. An experienced fundraiser with an eyefor detail, spotting trends and identifying risks you will lead the team to beconfident and own their portfolio.Responsible for the growth, planning and delivery of all fundraisinginitiatives working alongside the communications team. Your number one goal isto grow our fundraising whilst building everlasting relationships with oursupporters and delivering a first-class supporter experience.

BeingHead of Fundraising at Heart of Kent Hospice

Workingwith the Communications Team youll support the team deliver integratedfundraising activity and develop outstanding supporter experiences and onwardjourneys.

Workingwith the Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communications you will support thedevelopment and oversee the delivery of a truly diverse fundraising portfoliothat meets the needs of our changing community and their future interests andneeds.

The fundraising team will bestewarding our incredible supporters and donors across fundraising events, communityfundraising, challenge events, Corporate, In memory and regular giving portfolios.

Experience at a senior level inmanaging a varied and innovative fundraising environment, with a £1 million+turnover, is crucial. Equally important is your passion, and drive, to make adifference and achieve results to make a profound difference. Please refer tothe role JD for more information around main responsibilities.

EssentialCriteria for the Role

oExtensiveand progressive experience in fundraising, fundraising product development, orrelated fields, preferably within the healthcare or nonprofit sector.

oHavea pragmatic, creative and innovative approach to problem solving and decisionmaking.

oExcellentcommunication skills - both verbal and written - able to communicate and buildrelationships with an array of people.

oExperiencein developing fundraising products and supporter journeys.

oExperiencedin budget setting and ongoing budget management, including reforecasting andday-to-day budget management and reporting.

oExperiencewith data analysis, and how to use this insight to progress future activity.

oEnthusiasticand pro-active, with a can-do attitude.

oExperienceof and a passion for delivering high quality customer or supporter care whileworking efficiently and accurately.

oEnjoycollaborating with other team members.

oExcellentattention to detail.

oExperiencedin IT - using databases to log and keep information accurately up to date, in atimely manner (the Hospice uses Raisers Edge).

oExcellenttime management and organisation skills, to be able to manage multiple tasks atonce.
