Behaviour Mentor – Full-Time Role in Tottenham

Teaching Personnel is offering a rewarding opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor to join an SEN school in Tottenham. This full-time role starts in October and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent based on performance.

- Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide crucial support to students who may struggle with their behaviour, helping them engage positively with their education and school environment. Your role will involve:
- Working closely with students who display challenging behaviour, offering guidance and support to help them manage their emotions and behaviours
- Developing and implementing personalised behaviour plans for individual students, working alongside teachers and the pastoral team
- Providing one-on-one or small group interventions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, and resilience building
- Supporting teachers in managing classroom behaviour, helping to create a calm and focused learning environment
- Building positive relationships with students to help them feel supported and understood
- Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teaching staff and contributing to reports on student development
- Helping students reflect on their behaviour, encouraging positive changes and personal growth
- Assisting with activities and strategies aimed at promoting a positive school ethos and reinforcing school behaviour policies
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional difficulties
- A confident, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting students
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents
- The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
- Previous experience in behaviour mentoring, youth work, or a similar role in an educational setting is highly desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed both academically and personally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
