Nurse Associate Qualification is essential. You will need this otherwise you will not be able to fulfill the role.

Registered Nurse Associate qualification Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification

Desirable criteria

Delivery of cervical screening GCSE Grade A to C in English and Math’s or equivalent level

Experience of working within the NHS/ Primary Care Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development Experience working in an NHS setting and/or experience of working with or in general practice Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice Understanding the importance of following procedures and treatment plans Proven ability to recognise and manage risk Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities Ability to organise and prioritise own and delegated workload Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with people from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds Ability to show empathy and be non judgmental towards individuals Accountability must understand the concepts of accountability and be confident to take guidance from a more senior registered practitioner Understands the wider determinants of health, including social, economic, and environmental factors and their impact on communities, individuals, their families, and carers Ability to develop effective and appropriate relationships with people, their families, carers and colleagues Data management skills Proficiency in navigating computer systems with the ability to learn new data systems quickly Recording and understanding clinical observations Long term conditions (LTC) monitoring and Monitoring of LTC/annual reviews Venepuncture Maintaining CPD portfolio and understanding requirements for NMC professional revalidation Chaperoning duties Demonstrates an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity, and inclusion Understand safeguarding procedures, recognise concerns and be able to act to protect your patient Good communication skills to enable staff, patient and team engagement effectively (written, verbal and non verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multi -disciplinary team Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate Understand local policies and procedures Knowledge of and ability to comply with data integrity, confidentiality, and security to safeguard all personal identifiable information
