This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet customer requirements, managing the bid resources effectively and establishing compliance with all tender requirements and company guidelines.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our business development initiatives, strengthen our market position. How You’ll Make an Impact • Evaluate customer enquiry documentation, interpret the scope, prepare and develop a compliant, professionally produced tender response.• Manage resources and timelines to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions.• Maintain comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication and pricing information.• Coordinate and review/ edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, product teams, operations, engineering, finance and legal.• Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations and industry standards.• Coordinate subcontract / and material pricing in accordance with the procurement procedure.• Understand contract terms and conditions, liaise with legal and commercial colleagues to complete tender returns.• Follow up tender responses including post tender negotiation to secure favorable terms and conditions.• Arrange and run tender reviews and handovers in accordance with company tender procedures and signature protocol.• Develop and execute bid strategies that align with the company’s goals including preparing for Bid/ No Bid decisions.• Monitor and evaluate bid performance metrics and understand market position and pricing, make suggestions for policy and process improvements.• Conduct post-bid analysis and debrief sessions to identify areas of improvement and implement lessons learned for future bids.• Identify new business opportunities by monitoring public and private sector tender portals.• Ensure all work practices conform to ISO9001 and environmental ISO14001.• Support the Head of Transmission Service Sales Application and Offer Management with activities to grow and develop the team and exploit new business opportunities. What You Bring • Experience as a bid manager, tendering engineer, proposal manager or a similar role.• Fully conversant with Microsoft packages Word, Excel and experience of SAP and Salesforce.• Proven ability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant proposals within a complex business environment.• Experience in managing bids for complex projects relevant to a services business.• Experience in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, co-ordinating proposal governance, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal.Our Grid Technologies division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
