An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Head and Neck Service for a Clinical Nurse Specialist with a special interest in Thyroid. This role will involve autonomously reviewing patients in clinics and supporting patients through investigations, diagnosis of a thyroid cancer and Head & Neck cancer diagnosis and through ongoing treatment and follow up, working within guidelines set by the North of England Cancer Network, specialist multi-disciplinary teams and local teams.

Main duties of the job

Providing face to face support for patients at cancer diagnosis Providing support to patients between diagnosis and treatment Supporting patients post surgery Liaising with Newcastle CNS's Reviewing patients in clinic Completing Holistic needs assessments
