At the heart of our Energy Decarbonisation business unit, our Heat team leads the charge in delivering innovative heat decarbonisation solutions across the UK and internationally. From shaping government policies to implementing low carbon heat solutions in various industries and environments, our work is crucial in the fight against climate change. As demand for our expertise grows, we're expanding our team.

Position overview:

You will step into a role where you'll support senior consultants on diverse projects while also having the opportunity to carve out your own niche and advance your career. Your expertise in renewable heat technologies and keen understanding of the sector’s opportunities and challenges will be instrumental. You'll play a key role in flagship renewable heat programs and work on various other projects for private and public sector clients.

What you need for this role:

A Bachelors (2.1 or above) or Masters, in an engineering, renewable energy or science subject. Knowledge of renewable heat technologies, systems and policies. Awareness and understanding of heat decarbonisation as part of net zero. Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload. High level of numeracy and numerical analysis. Professional and diligent approach. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Flexibility, proactiveness, resilience and enthusiasm. Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, as well as operate effectively as part of a team. Full UK Driving license.

Key responsibilities include:

Undertake data analysis of heating systems. Undertake desk and site-based audits of renewable heating and CHP systems. Helping develop strategies to decarbonise heat in industry and the built environment. Modelling of low carbon heating solutions and technologies. Produce high-quality, client-focused reports as part of project delivery. Plan and develop projects, working with senior consulting colleagues. Join the broader Energy Decarbonisation practice, network with colleagues, and engage other internal project opportunities.
