About Us

The Angola LNG Project is the result of a partnership between Sonangol, Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (Chevron´s affiliate in Angola – hereinafter described as “Chevron”), TotalEnergies, Azule Energy Angola Production B.V., and Azule Energy Exploration (Angola) Ltd (formerly Eni Production Angola B.V. and bp Exploration Angola Ltd), to gather and process gas and deliver up to 5.2 million tons of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) per year to the global market. Different companies manage Angola LNG’s project value chain through service agreements to Angola LNG Limited (the investor company; it owns all assets, acquires gas, sells LNG and liquids, and supplies domestic gas).

 

The role of Planning Analyst is for Angola LNG Marketing Ltd (“ALM”), based in London. ALM ‍is responsible for conducting LNG marketing activities and LNG and Liquids sales operations on behalf of ALNG and managing the ALNG´s brand and all external communications.

Overview of the role

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Planning Analyst to join our team at Angola LNG Marketing Ltd in London. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and maintaining strategic and operational plans, maintaining and developing the models associated with these plans, conducting financial analysis and providing insightful recommendations to senior management. You will work closely with various departments to gather data, analyse market trends, and develop forecasts that will support the company's decision-making process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modelling, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Requirements

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategic and operational plans for ALM
  • In coordination with the P&P manager, oversee, coordinate, and provide assurance for activities performed by the Planning Analysts
  • Develop, maintain and update the business and economic models used by ALM, as required
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and prepare reports
  • Monitor and evaluate performance against targets
  • Provide recommendations to senior management based on analysis and forecasts
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations
  • Improve, simplify, and automate internal processes 

Personal Attributes & Skills

  • Experience in marketing commercial activities and/or corporate planning/economics
  • Strong computing skills: e.g. modelling, VBA, database management
  • Proficient in modelling and forecasting techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use intellectual curiosity to identify and simplify processes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the LNG industry is a plus
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment
