English Teacher required for a secondary school in Andover

About the School:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English for students aged 11-16.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, providing feedback and support as necessary.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school's ethos and values, and contribute to extracurricular activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
