What will you be doing as our new Assurance Lead?

As our Assurance Lead, you’ll lead on supporting the delivery of projects by advising and engaging with project teams and to make sure they do not cause adverse customer, environmental or operational impacts. When engaged, you’ll take a balanced view of operational and project delivery needs and promoting collaboration between operational and @one teams.

You’ll work with project delivery teams to review and verify effective plans for managing project assurance. Where directed, you’ll actively participating in ROV, Project Rehearsal, Fit for Assembly and progress meetings to influence efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Identify and agree with project teams and AW operations where Impact Plans will be required. Ensure the project delivery teams are aware of requirements by developing and communicating a schedule showing when information is needed and how long is required for each Impact Plan to be developed and approved in order to meet the programme requirements.

Ensure that process plant and equipment that could significantly impact on the programme of work has been identified in the project Delivery Execution Plan (DEP) and a response plan agreed with AW operations in the event of that plant/equipment failure.

Be actively involved at the earliest opportunity (latest stage being at DM3) and throughout, in Risk Opportunity Value, Project Rehearsal and Fit for Assembly meetings so that assurance and operational needs are considered during the development and rehearsal of project delivery strategies.

Working with the AW Operations and @one Delivery teams to ensure collaboration and clear understanding of the Assurance process and liaising between the two on any issue that cannot be resolved between them.

Ensuring that AW, and Partner policies and procedures are adhered to so as to ensure on-site activities do not cause adverse operational impacts on health and safety, regulatory discharges, the environment or customers.

Provide training, mentoring and workshops on completion of Impact Plans, Safe to Operate and other AW / Alliance processes, for all @one project team members ensuring consistent application of the processes across the Alliance.

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours….

To join the team on a mission of assurance excellence, you’ll have experience of working in a site construction environment with knowledge of water and/or water recycling operations, it would be advantageous if you had some additional Safety, Environmental or Quality qualifications.

Operating with a collaborative approach, you’ll be a strong integrator and be confident in challenging and influencing groups and individuals at all levels. Always looking to offer the best level of customer service through engagement and support, you’ll be self-motivated and demonstrate strong leadership and values.
