Guarantee Hours: 35 per week
Job Description:
The Physical Therapist Assistant(PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist(PT) to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses regainmovement and manage pain. PTAs assist in implementing treatmentplans perform therapeutic exercises and educate patients on propertechniques for rehabilitation. They work in various healthcaresettings such as hospitals rehabilitation centers clinics andprivate practices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatmentplans for patients.
- Guide patients inperforming therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Apply modalities such as heat cold ultrasound andelectrical stimulation.
- Educate patients andtheir families on exercises and home care techniques.
- Document patient progress and responses totreatment.
- Set up and maintain equipment fortherapy sessions.
- Provide support andencouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitationprocess.
- Collaborate with other healthcareprofessionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
