Our client has gone through an acquisition and is looking for a Graphics designer to the marketing team to bolster their team and face the challenging growth plans we have in place. The ideal candidate will be looking to gain exposure to an international environment. 

Objectives of this role

  • Continue to develop in-house brands, ensuring we compete with market lead comparisons, with direction from the Senior Graphic Designer
  • Collaborate on key company projects, working with the wider team to scope required tasks, schedule tasks internally and ensure project timescales are always met
  • Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics
  • Work fluidly between the creative cloud applications and 3D rendering software to produce original realistic product assets
  • Generate new ideas to portray concepts and advertise our products/services
  • Increase the user experience of all branded products (non-digital)
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all projects
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and tools
  • Maximize use of available media, whilst managing project costs to allocated budgets
  • Update and maintain the internal asset toolbox
  • Design for; adverts (online and offline), flyers, brochures, packaging, point-of-sale, signage, icons, illustrations, exhibitions, presentations, corporate templates
  • Day to day art-working of all collaterals and preparing files for print working, liaising directly with the close and wider team to ensure accuracy of information
  • Liaising with suppliers – requesting and agreeing quotations (with necessary approval/s) and agreeing print delivery timescales, sampling, and ordering collaterals
  • Supporting the business on quick turnaround and last-minute projects with a ‘can do attitude’
  • Support the team with ad hoc tasks to support the business as required
  • Work within a team environment to collectively brainstorm solutions


Requirements

Required:

  • Portfolio of completed design projects from conception to completion
  • Competent level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite on Apple Mac
  • Ability to learn new software packages
  • Highly creative individual with excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and collaborate within a team environment

 

Desired:

  • Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer, or similar
  • Experience with KeyShot (or similar) Canva, Adobe After Effects, Adobe XD
  • Experience with using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • You will need to be methodical, meticulous, organised
  • Further education award in relevant field

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members, clients, and key stakeholders.

Creativity: Innovation and creativity are vital for creating collateral of all sizes which helps develop a brand over time from the inside.

Attention to Detail: Taking ownership of your work and having a keen eye for detail is essential to maintain a high level of quality throughout all work.

Adaptability: The design landscape is constantly evolving. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and open to learning new tools, trends, and techniques to stay ahead in the industry.

Time management: This role requires planning and foresight to ensure all projects are delivered on time and in line with all areas of the business.

User-Centric Design: Taking time to understand the needs and pain-points of the target audience is crucial. Taking this approach helps in creating design that helps solve real problems for the user.
