We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a large friendly Primary School based in the heart of Barry.

Job Description: As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teachers and students. You will assist in creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere, helping to deliver high-quality education and ensuring that all students receive the attention and assistance they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Support individual students and small groups with their learning activities.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the assessment and tracking of student progress.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Perform any other duties as required to support the effective running of the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
  • A passion for education and working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • A patient and compassionate approach to working with students.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.
