A highly reputable and large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Religious Education to join the permanent staff of one of their outstanding schools in Clapham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging RE lessons that cater to a diverse student population.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Uphold the values and ethos of the school and MAT, promoting respect, tolerance, and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching RE at the secondary level (KS3/KS4); experience at KS5 is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Religious Education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
