Finance Analyst

Location: Multimatic Niche Vehicles Europe, Coventry , United Kingdom

Scope of Position:

The Financial Analyst that will assist the Financial Controller in the assessment of company performance by study and analysis of financial and operational data. This role will be expected to act as a catalyst in the continuous improvement process by supplying analytical support of the operational areas.

The various functions include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial statements, including Controller’s Comments, cash flow forecasts, Net income and Contribution Margin walks Analyze actual results compared to budget, and initiate corrective action as necessary Assist with the preparation of quarterly forecast and annual budget Maintain integrity of financial systems – SAP, Cognos, and Shipping system Interface with all departments to determine requirements for and proper use of financial information, including participation in regular managers meetings Perform other duties as required Assist in establishing processes and continual monitoring of cash flows at the divisional and Group levels to ensure business plans and objectives can be executed as intended Establish and monitor procedures and policies designed to effectively manage working capital (e.g. accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory), including the control of payment approvals Perform detailed divisional GL reviews to ensure the integrity of the monthly financial statements and that all Corporate reporting requirements are achieved Assist in the development and review of effective divisional Key Performance Indicators Help to prepare the annual audit kits to ensure a smooth audit is achieved Preparing monthly/quarterly tax remittance in compliance with Tax Law Monthly reconciliation with Inter-company transactions (Sales and Purchases) Monthly Bank and GL reconciliation Ensure that the objectives of the Business Plan are met in accordance with the framework of the company Follow company procedures and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook. Stop any process where quality or safety issues are identified Initiate, recommend or provide solutions via designated channels & verify the implementation of solutions.

Skills & Experience:

Completion or near completion of a recognized accounting designation (CIMA, CA, ACCA, CPA) Experience in the automotive parts or vehicle manufacturing industry is desirable. Excellent English, spelling, punctuation, and attention to detail. Strong IT skills using Microsoft suite of programs, i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience using SAP Ability to work across several projects simultaneously, managing and meeting deadlines. Ability to work self-sufficiently as part of a larger team in a busy and sometimes noisy environment. Confident and personable manner.
