Mechanical Technician

What you’ll be doing
as a Mechanical Technician: Conducting scheduled planned maintenance work on mechanical equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures, such as various pumps and associated control gear, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level and pressure measurement, pipework, chemical handling, and dosing equipment. Investigating plant failures and conducting repairs. Provide technical advice, referring to up-to-date technical knowledge. Provide training or support for technical trainees if required.Base Location- Crossness STW – SE2 9AQ.
38 hours per week Monday- Friday. 7:30 am - 3:36 pm plus the inclusion onto a standby rota for which you will receive additional pay.
All Tools, PPE and Van will be provided.
What you should bring to the role as the Mechanical Technician
NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical engineering qualification. Physically fit as you will work in confined spaces with successful completion of the appropriate training. Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues. Participation in a 24/7 out-of-hours standby rota will be required after a suitable period of training and assessment for which you will receive additional payment. A valid driving license is essential.What’s in it for you?
Offering up to £36,800 per annum depending on your experience and skills. 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays).
