Cancer Audit Assistant

This is a fulltime permanent post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday.
Responsible for the accurate collection & collation of cancer audit data, liaising with clinical and clerical colleagues in respect to cancer pathways and providing regular reports on service to support the cancer quality strategy.
Post is based at Inverclyde Hospital but covers all GGC sites.
Option of hybrid working available.
Travel between sites will be required
Minimum Requirements
Essential
Educated to HNC/D level in Business Administration / Information Management / Information Technology; or able to demonstrate equivalent experience. ECDL in Microsoft Office professional packages; or able to demonstrate equivalent proficiency Able to work own initiative, and know when to seek advice Experience of working as part of a team Good communication skills, including oral, written and interpersonal Knowledge and skills in data processing and analysis Excellent organisational and time management skills Experience of the Health Service in Scotland Knowledge/ understanding and the ability to apply basic statistical techniques Experience of designing and maintaining databases and spreadsheets Knowledge of cancer pathways Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
