Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Risk Manager with a background in Nuclear/Defence/Infrastructure to be engaged on a permanent basis in Reading (Hybrid working will be supported)
Purpose and Scope:
As the Risk Manager you will be responsible for the implementation of risk management across the programmes and projects ensuring a culture of risk-based decision-making.
Provide QSRA & QCRA services to a range of projects, using best practice tools & techniques and produce quality Risk Analysis reports
Provide/lead quality risk registers for all lifecycle phases and stages
Maintain a high level of underpinning information for all-risks
Support the commercial department in the analysis of commercial risks
Maintain risk databases and validate data across systems
Assist projects to clearly define their objectives and associated risks
Maintain delivery of high-quality risk products within schedule
Identify risks using applicable risk assessment tools, and best practice tools and techniques
Periodically review the risks and risk treatment strategies in order to update, eliminate or add risks and to meet reporting requirements.
Document work in the appropriate format consistent with risk management process.
Maintain accuracy of risk data communicated to project staff
Highlight current or potential risk related issues to project manager
Maintain compliance with approved processes, procedures, and systems
Education/ Experience
Ideally degree qualified in relevant subject or demonstrated equivalent experience
Preferably Professional membership of a relevant chartered body.
Trained in an appropriate Project management qualification
Proven experience work as a Risk specialist, working within in a project delivery environment ideally in the nuclear sector or a similar highly regulated sector.
