Job Description
We are looking for a committed and proactive Technician to join our Laboratory Support and Sample Management Team within Sport and Specialised Analytical Services (SSAS). This is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a hybrid role, working across both the Laboratory Support and Sample Management areas.
Key responsibilities:
Receive samples, perform integrity checks and complete all necessary documentation; Log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), managing storage and disposals; Laboratory equipment maintenance and associated record keeping; Reagent preparation and glass washing; Pipette calibrations, maintenance and management; Conduct analytical work using appropriate techniques and in accordance with regulatory standards, ISO 17025; Act in compliance with the site Health & Safety Policy; Maintain a clean, tidy and well-equipped work area, observing any operational regulations.The successful candidate will able to demonstrate the following skills and behaviours:

Qualifications
Educated to GCSE level, acquiring 5 GCSE’s graded A-C (or 9-4). Experience in a regulated laboratory environment is advantageous. Sound computer skills, experience of Microsoft Office.-
