We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Local Authority Housing Options service as a full time Housing Solutions Advisor on a -month basis. This role will focus upon people who are leaving prison who require help under the Homelessness Reduction Act to secure suitable housing.

You will work within a busy multidisciplinary Housing Options and Homelessness service, assisting households under the Homelessness Reduction Act to prevent and relieve homelessness. People leaving prison are often left with limited housing options, it is therefore paramount that agencies work together to identify and support people about to leave prison. You will work with accommodation providers, including private landlords, social housing and supported accommodation providers to build up strong relationships to increase provision of affordable housing. 

Previous experience of delivering housing advice and working with homelessness client groups is desirable. 

We are recruiting to a number of roles in the team, based in The Portal, Ellesmere Port. Work location will be flexible involving office-based, working from home, working at other council offices, and visiting landlords and tenants across the district.
