About the Role

Design and implement high-performance computing, large scale-storage, and related architectures to meet the demanding computational needs of scientific and research projects. Optimise resource utilisation, ensuring efficient and scalable computing power for complex simulations, data analysis, and other scientific workloads. Foster innovation and collaboration within the scientific community by providing access to high-performance computing resources and large-scale storage.

Department/Directorate Information

The Digital Services Directorate ensures that everyone at the ICR has access to the technology they need to do their jobs effectively including providing specialist IT support to the ICR’s research community. Scientific Computing is one of three Units within Digital Services and provides a number of key services to researchers across the ICR, including High Performance Computing (HPC), Research Data Storage (RDS), Research Data Management (RDM) and Research Software Engineering (RSE).
