The Role:
We`re looking for a new CloudOps Engineer to join our Technology team based in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire. In this role, you will perform the critical role of IT and Cloud operations by combining expertise in cloud computing, infrastructure management, and DevOps practices. This role focuses on creating and maintaining efficient, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure while ensuring that development and deployment processes are completed and brought through to successful operation.Ready to skip the snooze button and get stuck in? You will work with Azure based environment, both IaaS and PaaS, supporting, enhancing, and migrating solutions built on Microsoft stack. Occasionally you will look after other types of infrastructure, both cloud-based and physical. Your role will contribute to smooth operation and futureproofing of Dreams infrastructure and systems.
The Person: This is the type of person we`re dreaming of:
-Cloud Infrastructure Management
oDesign, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure
oEnsure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud resources.
oImplement IaaS to PaaS and SaaS migrations
-On-prem Infrastructure Management
oOccasionally manage the existing infrastructure hardware, including physical network equipment and servers.
-Automation and Orchestration
oDevelop automation scripts and workflows to streamline provisioning, configuration, and elasticity of infrastructure components.
-Monitoring, Performance Optimization as Support
oSet up and monitoring of alerting systems for infrastructure and applications.
oContinuously analyse and optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and performance improvement.
oTroubleshoot issues with IaaS/PaaS services
oProvide 2nd/3rd line support during office hours and occasionally weekends and bank holidays
-Security and Compliance
oMaintain the security of the Dreams systems and networks within company guidelines and any legal requirements such as PCI and Data protection.
oImplement security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
oCollaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
-Collaboration
oWork closely with software development teams to integrate infrastructure requirements into the development process.
oCollaborate with IT operations and support teams to ensure smooth operations and issue resolution.
oInvolvement in building and maintaining relationships between Dreams and its 3rd party suppliers.
oWorking as a part of the internal and external project teams to deliver Dreams initiatives, with involvement in managing projects, providing project plans, technical input/solutions and producing regular updates.

oMaintain clear and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
